As I observe the world around me, I am astounded by the beauty of it. I often ask myself how one can see all this beauty around him/her and not acknowledge the hand of a Divine Creator in creating and preserving it. If you know someone who could benefit from an increased awareness of God's hand in his/her life, please feel free to pass this blog along.

Answered Prayers in the Scriptures
The scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, truly do contain answers to all of life's questions. This last week, I had some concerns on my mind and approached my daily scripture study with the wrong attitude. I have read the Book of Mormon multiple times and knew (or at least I thought I knew) that there was nothing in the Book of Mormon about my particular concerns. Heavenly Father proved me wrong though and the verses that I read that day seemed to speak to my specific situation. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father did not let my poor attitude get in the way of personal revelation. Through this experience, I learned an important lesson-do not underestimate the power of God's word to give direction in ANY circumstance or situation. He loves us and wants to give us the direction we need, if we will only seek it.

President Gordon B. Hinckley (1910–2008) spoke of the power of God’s creations to strengthen testimony when he said:
“Can any man who has walked beneath the stars at night, can anyone who has seen the touch of spring upon the land doubt the hand of divinity in creation? So observing the beauties of the earth, one is wont to speak as did the Psalmist: ‘The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.’ (Ps. 19:1–2.)
